In Nordic Ecosystem we see the house as a living system which has long-lasting relationship with people and nature. In co-creation with communities, we can incorporate the living house concept to support a strong and healthy link between people and nature instead of just sheltering people from nature in their home.

Existing building design ideas often focus too much on the monetary and energy economy and not enough on people's health and the environment. Even though there is some great progress in building better homes for the planet, it's not enough. Our current system just keeps falling short.

But there's a better way with the living house. It's a holistic system designed to improve people's lives in their homes, with things like natural building materials, sourcing local materials, automated production sites, engaging platform for those who will live there, and making houses that look and feel great. The Living House cares about people's well-being, helps create healthy communities, and protects the environment.

From seed to house

In the timber industry, we provide a comprehensive system tailored for self-sufficiency. Our approach guarantees minimal environmental impact throughout the entire process, from initial processing to the final product. This includes utilizing by-products for heating and electricity generation.
Instead of depending on large-scale facilities, we utilize smaller, localized units. These units can produce 10-40 houses per month, depending on their size and operational shifts.

Automated timber processing system

We are introducing our automated timber processing system, offering unparalleled flexibility in log dimensions. Our high-yield sawmill requires only one operator, incorporating automated log analysis and precise cutting schematics.
With a high processing capacity, we can produce between 1800 and 7000 ft³ of timber per shift. Plus, our system ensures zero waste—any unused lumber is repurposed for product manufacturing or utilized as biomass to power production or heating.

Thermally modified wood plant

Thermally Modified Wood Plant is where quality meets longevity. These products boast a lifespan of 25+ years and require no coating for exterior use, making them ideal for various applications.
Thermal wood is mold-resistant and environmentally friendly, ensuring both durability and sustainability. Wood maintains its integrity over time with low deformation properties while offering an aesthetic and natural look that enhances any space.
Perfect for both exterior and interior use, our thermally modified wood provides the ideal balance of functionality and beauty.

Japanese burned wood production

This particular wood production site offers a natural siding material renowned for its exceptional longevity—guaranteed to last 100+ years.
Burned wood boasts excellent fire resistance, making it suitable for use in areas prone to wildfires. Plus, we prioritize sustainability by incorporating recycled wood into our production process.
